The MVWC Garden Group conducted a Progressive Garden Tour on April 23. This included Garden Group members visiting three gardens at the homes of other members (Jan L, Heather B, and Betsy I) showcasing their beautiful gardens, along with discussing their approach to gardening, reason for selecting certain variations of plants, beautification of landscape, and efforts in sustainability. This was a fun, interpersonal, and educational outing. We had such a good time visiting with all the group members and so very thankful to Jan, Heather, and Betsy, for opening up their homes to 16 people. Also, we had snacks at each stop!
This day was a memorable time; so much so, that we have decided to add this activity to next year’s schedule.
And another outing…
The Moon Valley Women’s Club Garden Group spent a nice Saturday morning learning how to create unique stepping stones at a class provided by the Mountain View Community Center. These stepping stones were part of the group’s donations to the annual April Fundraiser, along with herbal plants and flower displays. Great cause and fun outreach.
