Holiday Family Adoption Project
Thank you to everyone that signed up at the September Luncheon to participate in this year’s holiday project. This project does not work without your continued help and support.
We will be adopting 40 families from two local elementary schools, Sunnyslope K-8 and Moon Mountain.
There are three ways to help:
- Adopt one or more families and shop and pay for the requested items at a store of your choice and at your leisure as your donation.
- Adopt one or more families and shop and pay for the requested items as a store of your choice and at your leisure and receive partial or full reimbursement from the MVWC Service Project Board.
- Donate money for this project.
Each family consists of 1 or 2 parent(s) and 1 to 5 children. Volunteer shoppers are provided with a list of sizes for clothing, shoes, socks and underwear to buy and a toy or gift request for each child and also a household gift requested by the parent(s).
To donate money, you can send a donation directly to Moon Valley Service Project via Zelle to mvwcserviceproject@gmail.com.
If you prefer to donate by check, please mail your check made payable to MVWC Service Project and write “Holiday Project” on the outside of the envelope. The address is MVWC Service Project, 13236 N 7th Street, Suite 4-307, Phoenix, AZ 85022. Please send as soon as possible before November 30, 2026.
Please let us know if you are able to volunteer to help with shopping and your preferences as to number of families, number and ages of children and which school. We will be assigning families as soon as the information is received from the school’s social workers.
If donating money, please let us know how much you are sending so we can budget for this project.
