It was just a short drive for six Matinee Friends on Sunday afternoon, April 12, to the PVCC Performing Arts Center to see the new musical “Between the Lines“. This was a charming story that featured a teenage outsider (Delilah) trying to fit in at a new school, seeking escape in the pages of her favorite book. What a surprise when a character in the story starts to actually speak to her! It was fun to watch the antics of Kathy S’s nephew on stage once again. All the cast was great at both acting and singing. Our only disappointment was that sometimes the music overpowered the singing and we couldn’t understand the lyrics. Otherwise we really enjoyed our time in both the fantasy and real worlds with Delilah, as she discovers she has the power to rewrite her own story.
