The MVWC Garden Group visited Summerwinds Nursery on February 17. We attended a class on Cooking with Herbs; which is a very popular class. This class was very informative and fun. We were instructed on the essence of herbal flavors and the impact of herbal health remedies, including pain management, anxiety, spirits, warts, depression, sleep, etc. There were so many things some of us didn’t really know. We also toured the Nursery after the class and found it absolutely wonderful with beautiful healthy plants, scrubs, trees, along with many recommendations. The docent was extremely professional and had vast knowledge of landscapes, planting, what grows best in Arizona. Any questions we had were asked and answered.
Directly after out visit to Summerwinds, we went to lunch at Blanco Cocina & Cantina. We had a scrumptious lunch! Good food, good service and great conversations! This was a very good outing for all of us.
