This month, the Painting Group traveled to Cave Creek to visit El Encanto. We enjoyed excellent Mexican food and found inspiration for our paintings by their beautiful pond.
The food was flavorful and well-balanced. Harriet enjoyed Mahi Mahi, and Linda tried both the red and green enchiladas, ultimately she preferred the green. I had the chile relleno special, which was delicious, though I am already looking forward to returning for their mole and shrimp dishes.
We were also happy to welcome our newest member, Donna. Thank you for joining us and for picking up new art supplies. It was also great to have Kathleen and Grace with us.
The painting group is open to all levels of watercolor painters.
We meet on first Thursday of the month. If you are looking for a special place for Mexican food, I highly recommend El Encanto.
Please note they are currently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. They are open Wednesday through Sunday, and I suggest making a reservation to secure a table next to the pond.
