Longtime Moon Valley Women’s Club member Marj Knutson passed away on August 28, 2024, after a long illness. Marj was instrumental in planning and handling the MVWC yearly Auction for years. She also enjoyed participating in many activity groups, especially Bridge, quilting, and the Tuesday night Bunco group. After her stroke, she gave up Bunco but continued to play cards, wheelchair-bound, for as long as possible.
Music was important to Marj’s whole family, and Marj also played the piano and participated in the handbell choir at her church.
While they will not be having a Memorial service until after Thanksgiving, her family is requesting that any donations in her memory be made to the Apollo High School Choir & Music Program.Please make checks out to Apollo High School with ‘Choir’ in the memo and mail to: Apollo High School, 8045 N Glendale Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85302.
