We are sad to announce that our member Nancy Hjelmstad unexpectedly passed away on September 28, 2025.
She was an extremely talented artist and enjoyed painting on Thursdays with the Moon Valley Women’s Club Painting Group. She painted on everything, canvas, glass, and wood, and did many crafts. She was Swedish and followed all the Swedish traditions, including Santa Lucia at Christmas time with her grandchildren. They would dress up, sing songs, and enjoy a typical Swedish meal.
Nancy also enjoyed being a member of the Matinee Friends, and the Museum & Special Events group.
