On Wednesday, October 1st, the Classy Cooks attended a Carnival-themed lunch hosted by Lin F and Sylvia F (pictured above). Ladies sampled seasoned cheese fries and fried pickles along with mini-corn dogs, roasted turkey legs, and Italian sausage, pepper & onion sandwiches.
The signature drink was frozen strawberry slushies with a kick. For dessert, there were churros, apple cider donuts, and – drum roll please — caramel apples on a stick (not easy to make, according to the assigned chef).
All tested their ability at popping balloons with darts. (It seems, sometime in her life, Margy S aced this skill). Beer pong (sensa beer) was another contest at which few excelled but all enjoyed.
Cracker Jacks with a prize inside were the party favors. In sum, the lunch brought back memories and was a great deal of FUN!!!
