Our April outing was a docent guided tour of Sahuaro Ranch, which was established in 1886 following the completion of the Arizona Canal. The canal opened up home- steading & irrigation farming to desert land. We toured the guest house and received some great and interesting information. Other features of the ranch which we enjoyed were the rose gardens and the peacocks which roam the area. Following our tour, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at the historic Spicery which was built in 1895.
