The Noble Grapes enjoyed another fun night trying new wines. After a few wrong turns, we had a great turnout and welcomed a new member. Our hostess selected Zinfandels (red or white) as the wine of the night so there was something for everyone to enjoy.
The primary flavors of Zinfandel are jam, blueberry, black pepper, cherry, plum, boysenberry, cranberry, and licorice. When you taste Zinfandel it often explodes with candied fruitiness followed by spice and often a tobacco-like smoky finish. White Zinfandel is dry to sweet, pink-colored rose, it is not a grape variety, but a method of processing Zinfandel grapes.
While we tasted a lot of great wines, we love to share our favorites with all of you.
