The Shoebox Project is a great opportunity to donate your travel-size toiletries such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouth wash, wash cloths, lotion, soap, razors, shaving cream, tissues, shampoo, conditioner, hand sanitizer, deodorant, combs and hairbrushes. The Marys also need shoe boxes in good condition and drawstring bags for the boxing and bagging phase.
This year’s project is in three phases and all members are welcome to participate.
Call, text or email either of the Marys if you would like to help. (find their information in the Member Directory)
The De Colores shelter, located in south central Phoenix, opened its doors in 1986 out of a community-identified need for a domestic violence shelter. The shelter provides housing and meals for survivors and their children. Over the years the shelter has grown and now provides an average of 500-600 survivors of sexual and domestic violence a safe and secure environment.
