This month the Restaurant Review Group went to Royal Palms Resort’s five-star restaurant, T Cook’s. Everyone loved the ambiance with old-world Spanish colonial styling, including palm trees growing in the restaurant and extending through the ceiling. Royal Palms was one of the first resorts in the valley, originally built in 1929 as a private winter estate and then it became a hotel and spa in 1948. Linda M planned the event. She selected 5 options: a beautiful salad, salmon, grilled chicken sandwich, turkey sandwich and beef tacos with au jus. Linda and Audrey commented that their grilled chicken sandwiches were delicious. Likewise, many enjoyed the beef tacos. The grilled salmon was a work of art for the eyes and palate! Several ordered the chocolate-hazelnut flambé and said it was delicious as well. Per discussion with the restaurant staff prior to our luncheon, gratuity was included due to the size of the group. We filled 3 round tables and enjoyed great company and food. The overall score was 5 stars.
Next month we will be dining the third Thursday of the month due to Thanksgiving. We will meet at Tommy Bahamas for lunch and perhaps do some shopping too!
Bon Appetit, happy dining with good friends and good food.
