MS MARTHA’S CARIBBEAN KITCHEN
On October 27, Ms. Martha was in the kitchen and she personally prepared the authentic lunch items for us. The service was very good though we did stay pretty late discussing the holidays and date changes for lunch and they were busy getting ready for dinner Prices were very reasonable, and the food was not over-spicy for sure. Just the right amount of spice for the jerk chicken but not hot or crazy burn. The Plantains were nicely toasted and sweet. The authentic drinks were enjoyed by those who tried them.
LO-LO’S CHICKEN & WAFFLES
We had a great turn-out on November 17, for Lolo’s with 12 of the 49 members. The restaurant makes every plate to order, no chicken sitting under heat lamps here. The portions are ample, and the delicious lemonade comes in a large Mason jar. Overall, the restaurant got 5 stars (out of 5) except for a few comments on the time it took to get the meal. Well, plan on it taking time if you go, but also the chicken will be piping hot. Comments on the side
dishes: Waffles were perfect, crisp and not the thick Belgian type. Veggie sides were definitely “soul food” with greens, mac n cheese and there was plenty of syrup for the waffles.
