The Restaurant Review group had a lovely meal at Firebirds Wood Fired Grill next to the ballpark in Peoria. The luncheon special of petite tenderloin in a wine sauce that came with mashed potatoes and mushrooms was fabulous. Several gals also ordered the crab cakes that came with chipotle sauce. We all agreed it was worth the drive. Walking in, you smelled the firewood burning. The only thing the restaurant was marked down for was that it was pricey, but that’s the price of steak.
