This month we met at the home of Suzie P and Ted G with a unique opportunity to taste wines from the Class of ’72/Judgement of Paris which is the event that put California on the map as a wine producing region. This included wines from Stag’s Leap Cellars, Diamond Creek, Jordan, Caymus and Mount Veeder.
All the wines ranged from $40-$65 and those in attendance all agreed that they were worth it.
The Noble Grapes bid Au Revoir to the season with a lively Champagne tasting at the home of Flora T & Aaron H. While “champagne” is often used as a general term to describe all sparkling wine, true Champagne can only come from the small northern region of Champagne, France, where Flora is from. She gave us an informative presentation about the champagne-making process, and we raised a glass to a wonderful year of fun and friendship. A votre sante!
