On Tuesday, 1/13 the Museum & Special Events group toured the Greek Orthodox Cathedral to view the faceted stained-glass windows. The church has over 4,000 sq ft of stained glass, designed by Ken Toney. We had an interesting tour of the vibrant stained-glass in the structure; and were honored to meet the artist and be able to ask him questions. Mr. Toney created stained glass for over 1,000 homes in the Valley and elsewhere. His work is in terminal 3 at Sky Harbor Airport, in the Maricopa County Court House, and in many commercial structures. He also worked with Ted de Grazia and turned a number of de Grazia’s paintings into Stained-glass.
Lunch followed our tour @ OHSO.
A good time was had by all.
