On Friday, March 3rd the Children’s Treehouse Foundation sponsored a pickle- ball tournament at Moon Valley Country Club. Patty D did a phenomenal job organizing her first ever event and recruited fellow MVWC members, Maggi H and Betsy I, to help out. The event raised over $14,000 for the Foundation. She is already organizing their second event, a golf tournament, set for September.
The Children’s Treehouse Foundation is a passion for Patty and her family. Founded in January of 2001 in Colorado, the non-profit is the only organization providing a family-centered, evidence-based and internationally delivered pro- gram specifically for kids and teens with a parent or caregiver with cancer. This program, CLIMB (Children’s Lives Include Moments of Bravery) is the art-based group program that kids, teens, parents and oncology professionals rave about.
