On Sunday, Sept 15, several Matinee Friends spent a delightful afternoon at the Arizona Broadway Theatre in Peoria. First was a delicious lunch; most had the very tasty salmon dish. We had a wonderful, very helpful server, too. Then came the musical “Clue,” based on the familiar board game most of us played at home with our families. The six suspects were all costumed in the requisite colors, forming a lovely rainbow when all were together. The audience was invited to solve the mystery of who killed Mrs. Boddy, in what room, and with what weapon? The suspects were all great singers and portrayed their character traits perfectly. Our favorite was the dissatisfied cook, Mrs. White, played by a very funny man. While no one at our table solved the case correctly, we were well entertained for a few hours on a hot, still-summer day.
