On September 24th, eight members of the Matinee friends ventured to the Don Bluth Front Row Theatre to see “Exit Laughing”. The play was a funny story about four women who had been playing bridge together for over 30 years. One of their members passes away but, unbeknownst to her bridge friends, has prearranged some surprises for them. One of the gals can’t imagine playing bridge without her partner and steals her urn for one final evening of fun. The ladies discuss the
possibility that the police will come looking for Millie since she” kidnapped” the urn. The “Police” actually arrive at the house and hilarity ensues as the women finally discover that their friend has sent them a male stripper to lighten up their sad night. The ladies loosened up and learned to enjoy the gifts their friend had given them-including the message to experience life to its fullest while they were still breathing! We laughed out loud, and some grew misty at times. It was a very entertaining experience.
