Sheila’s home was the perfect setting for our Star Bakers luncheon held just before St. Patrick’s Day. It was a perfect setting to truly showcase the culinary talents within MVWC. Sheila set an exquisite table that really captured the festive spirit. The focus of our culinary exploration was a magnificent spread of innovative salads and artisanal breads.
We savored a Classic Caesar salad with a daring wasabi dressing, a refreshing Japanese cucumber salad, and a truly unique beet and gelatin salad with a zingy horseradish sauce. We also enjoyed Italian pesto star-shaped breads, a colorful medley of fresh fruit and a spectacular rainbow radish salad. And, of course no baker’s gathering would be complete without fresh baked goods. We indulged in flaky croissants, charming clover leaf rolls and fragrant saffron bread.
While the food was undoubtedly a feast for the senses, it was the lively conversation and shared laughter that truly made the afternoon special!
