The Garden Group recently visited the Deer Valley Petroglyph Preserve with our own volunteer docent, Dennis, who was so knowledgeable and friendly. The museum and facilities were very nice and we had absolutely picture perfect weather for the short quarter mile loop. The 47 acre preserve has over 1,500 petroglyphs, some over 5,000 years old. They range from geometric patterns to animals, some grouped and others with a single design on one boulder. We learned so much and enjoyed the tour. We followed it up with an enjoyable and delicious lunch at Time Square Restaurant just down the road from the preserve. The Garden Club is an open group and all MVWC members are welcome to join us on our next adventure.
