The 2024 Shoebox Project is now complete. Thank you to Diana, Jackie, Suzy, Carol, Mary Ann, Debbie, Verlene, and Wendy for donating your time and talent to the project. You made the sorting and boxing fast and fun! Thanks also to all club members who donated enough for 51 shoeboxes and three very large boxes of items for the De Colores shop.

De Colores opened its doors in 1985 out of a community-identified need for a domestic violence shelter that would provide an environment that was culturally and linguistically appropriate for monolingual Spanish-speaking survivors and their children. The shelter, located in South Central Phoenix, provides an average of 500-600 clients with a safe and secure environment where they can recover from the devastating
effects of abuse as they acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to become self-sufficient and break the cycle of violence.
