On April 26, Jan L hosted a Plant Exchange at her home. MVWC Garden Group members brought plants, seeds, plant cuttings, and other varieties of vegetation to exchange with others. There was also a Speaker, Mary Lu Nunley, Project Manager, for Mountain View Community Garden. Mary Lu Nunley discussed “How Gardening Can Heal”. There was no cost for the Speaker, however, donations to the Mountain View Community Garden were accepted and appreciated.
The Garden Group Members also brought appetizers/ snacks to share as a contribution. This was a very educational event, and everyone had a great time!
On May 29, the MVWC Garden Group participated in a Windchime-Making Class put on by the Mountain View Community Gardens. We were also provided a tour of their gardens and a viewing of the Moon Valley Women’s Club Garden Group’s Garden Plot, recently secured by our new Garden Group Co-chair, Nancy L. Thank you, Nancy!
We have lots of group activities planned for next season!
